Sentinel is seeking a Junior Accountant. Winning candidate(s) will work with a small team of self-starters, collaborators, and innovators, and will possess a basic understanding and ability to perform accounting/financial administrative functions. Candidate must have the desire to learn and dive into their field. Candidate must also have strong people skills, and the ability to interact with customers and vendors both over email and phone.
Responsibilities
• Accounting Administrator helps in reviewing the bank accounts, checks, and balances as against amounts in the ledger and goes a step further to verify that such amounts agree with financial statement items like asset, liability, revenue, and expense
• Assist with preparing, verifying, and recording customer payments
• Assist with submitting invoices to customers
• Assist with tracking vendor invoices and payments
• Assist with customer account statement reconciliations
• Data Entry for accounting department reports
• Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed
• Relays changes of information to appropriate employees
• Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• At least one year of directly related experience required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs
• Proficient in Google GSuite
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
• Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
